The fairytale Jimmy Choo Cinderella shoes sparkled so brightly at Selfridges Birmingham that they spent almost three weeks more on display than planned, and attracted hundreds of visitors into the iconic store.

The glitzy £3,000 pair of slippers, which were originally exclusively on display for shoppers during this month’s four-day Live + Loud festival, were so popular they were kept on display for longer than planned because so many visitors wanted to see them.

The dazzling shoes, which are adorned with 7,000 hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals and 46 precious stones and were created by Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi, proved to be so popular that Selfridges Birmingham was the first store in the West Midlands to sell a pair to one lucky city Princess.

This beautiful creation is made in Italy with a shimmer suede upper leather sole and insole and has been developed with a base of the iconic Jimmy Choo pointy toes pump. The Cinderella inspired shoe is perfectly paired with a crystal cluster on the toe, which gives it a magical touch.

Adam Hockney, general manager of Selfridges Birmingham, said: “We are just thrilled to have hosted the Jimmy Choo Cinderella shoe in the store for so long and that hundreds of our customers, young and old, enjoyed coming to see it. It just goes to show that all girls love a bit of sparkle and dreaming, and it’s amazing that we also managed to find our very own Cinderella in Birmingham who will be one very lucky lady when her own bespoke pair is delivered.”
