A list of the top 10 weird and wonderful items of lost property, left behind in hotel rooms, has been revealed by Conference Aston, Birmingham’s premier conference, hotel and event venue.
Accommodating over 60,000 guests per year, the hotel’s three and four-star bedrooms are a haven for conference delegates, businesspeople and tourists to the city, who leave behind a host of goodies when they depart. From the typical to the unbelievable, marketing manager Paul Bunce has seen it all.
“Typically guests might leave behind phone chargers, socks or toothbrushes. We sometimes find individual shoes in hotel rooms, so we must have had some guests hop out of the hotel. However there are some items of lost property that guests don’t come back for, and we think we know why.
“We’ve had everything from fake blood to artificial limbs left in our rooms, and while we try our hardest to return all lost property to its rightful owner, we decided it was about time to have a rummage through our treasure chest and see what hasn’t yet been claimed,” he said.
