The world’s fastest henna artist will be helping shoppers bring out their inner eastern beauty at Selfridges Birmingham later this month.

To celebrate the Festival of Eid, Guinness World Record Holder Pavan will be in the city store to treat shoppers to a creative taste of the east.

Henna artist Pavan can be found at the Pop-Up Henna Bar from Monday 13 July until Sunday 26 of July on Level 3. There will also be a DJ, an arabic calligrapher and a fragrance engraver on Wednesday 15 July and Thursday 16 July in store to celebrate the festival which marks the end of Ramadan.

Pavan is well known for being the fastest in her trade. In February 2012, she painted a staggering 511 unique armbands which beat her previous record in 2008 of an already impressive 314. Pavan’s expertise has landed her television appearances as well as an array of clients, including some high-profile celebrities.

Pavan prides herself on being at the forefront of the latest trends in order to create bespoke designs to compliment her client's outfits and jewellery. It is her attention to detail and passion for her craft that  sets her in a league of her own. The self-taught artist is redefining what it means to be a henna artist and is truly a pioneer in the industry.

Adam Hockney, general manager of Selfridges Birmingham, said: “We are thrilled to welcome a world renowned artist into our store. Pavan is the perfect addition to our Festival of Eid celebrations. Her intricate and detailed work will compliment your summer look. There is truly something for everybody at the Selfridges Festival of Eid celebrations and it is not something to miss this summer. The music and the henna will most certainly get shoppers eastern inspired.”

The fragrance engraving will be taking place on Level 3, while the Arabic Calligraphy will be held on Level 1 on  Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 July between 4pm and 9pm.
